About Me
My name is Megan Swierenga. I grew up in Centennial, Colorado and attended Homestead Elementary School and West Middle School. Now I am a senior at Lutheran High School, and I go to Crossroads Community Church. I am looking forward to pursuing occupational therapy or genetic counseling as my future career. At my high school, I am involved in soccer, STEM Academy, and National Honors Society. I love playing soccer and have been playing since I was four years old. Currently I play club and I was planning to play high school prior to the coronavirus pandemic. I immensely enjoy volunteering at Children's Hospital, where I am able to interact with patients and their families, which gives me an opportunity to pursue my love of working with children. I also love to shadow and volunteer with occupational therapists. Other activities I enjoy outside of school include spending time with my family and friends, working, and spending time outdoors through hiking and fishing and other activities. Next year I will be attending Grand Canyon University, majoring in exercise science on the pre-occupational therapy track. I am excited to see what God has planned for me next year and with my future career.
