2 Corinthians 12:9, "But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

During my freshman and sophomore years, we began researching possible career paths at school as we were beginning to look at colleges and different college majors. While doing this, I came across occupational therapy, which I had heard of but was not super familiar with. As I began to research more about this career, I became really interested and felt that it would be a really interesting and rewarding career where I could work with kids and help improve their lives. Soon after I got the opportunity to shadow and volunteer at an occupational therapy clinic multiple times. These experiences built up my passion for researching occupational therapy and turning it into my capstone project for STEM Academy. In my research, I looked at where occupational therapy is today, and then focused specifically on the pediatric side, pulling from my shadow experiences to create unique case studies of four children with treatment plans. Through this project I have been able to showcase all of the knowledge that I have gleaned over the past three years and I am excited to be able to share everything I have learned with you!
